I am sometimes asked how important it really is for a business to have a website and if online networking really matters. My answer is always a booming “Yes!” but not just because I’m in an online business myself. The fact is, in today’s market, you’re missing out on customers and clients, network connections and possibly even friendships by not having any kind of online presence. (more…)

Why I’m so addicted to Twitter (and why it’s a good thing!)

Just last June, I had blogged about my first uses of Twitter, just dipping my toes in to test the water. It felt awkward at first for sure but I kept trying and looking around and soon I’d felt I was getting the hang of things. But as my affection for other similar sites have dwindled with time, I still have a hard time using my computer for very long without at least logging in to my Twitter account just to see what’s going on, even if I really have nothing to say. Twitter what?

So for a long time now, I’ve been a big fan of all these social networking sites but Twitter? What is that anyway?

First was MySpace. Look at all my top “friends” and hey, I can decorate my page any way I want with as much as I want! Which of course lead to what I call C.O.A. (customization overuse abuse). (more…)
