Susan Wright, founder of Tranquil Hearts, is one of those dream clients everyone hopes for. Easy to communicate and work with, she knows what she wants and what will not work for her and is so laid back and positive, the process of building her initial web site could not have been a more smooth and happy experience. Months later, speaking to Susan about her business and web site, I jumped at the chance to work with her further on redesigning the site to better communicate who Susan is and what her work is all about. Warning: This is a long post. Sorry but for whatever reason, I feel I have to bear my soul on this one. It just really turned in to an experience I feel inspired to write about and share. So, if you’re short on time, feel free to skim, look at the picture of the old site and failed ideas, giggle, hopefully see how far I’ve come and pass it on. (To be honest, I’m a little nervous now about sharing my mock ups and kind of exposing some weaknesses but it’s all in hopes this will help another very frustrated designer or will stick in someone’s head when they are ready to scream because whatever they are trying to do just won’t come out right. )
